Natural Acrylik Paint Impacts Rural Jamaican Students!

Natural Acrylik Paint Impacts Rural Jamaican Students!

At Natural Earth Paint, one of our core values is to inspire more art! Because creativity is foundational to the human experience, and because it makes people and communities prosper, we want to create opportunities for art to change, inspire, and uplift lives.

That is why we were excited to learn and support contemporary artist Josh Tiessen as he took our Natural Acrylik Paints to rural Jamaica to lead a painting demonstration with humanitarian non-profit Equip to Serve!

At Equip to Serve, their mission is: "To ignite and support creative passion, artistic skills & communication gifts in church and school communities in rural Jamaica." We were able to offer our Natural Acrylik Paints to Josh, so he could travel to rural Jamaica and lead this painting demonstration. The students created pieces depicting Jamaica's national bird, the Red-billed Streamertail Humming Bird (also known as the Doctor Bird) overlooking the Jamaican Blue Mountains!

Any unused Natural Acrylik Paint was then donated to one of the visual arts highschool teachers, Ms. Salmon, for future use in her classroom.

We love hearing stories about how our paint not only positively impacts the earth but also those on the planet, whether that is through providing a healthy alternative paint option or through supplies and demonstrations to underserved rural areas with organizations like Equip to Serve and teachers such as Josh Tiessen!

If you'd like to donate to Equip to Serve you can visit their website (www.equiptoserve.ca) and make donations online or by check (tax-deductible for Canadians).
