Nature Craft & Treasure Hunt for St. Patrick's Day

Make your own leprechaun gold with with our Natural Gold Mica Earth & Mineral Pigment!

This is a great simple activity that helps your little ones be creative and get some time outside. March 17th is St. Patrick's Day, the perfect day to play pretend and hunt for leprechauns. As you know, leprechauns always have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. According to legend, if one is captured by a child, they will grant three wishes in exchange for their freedom.

After collecting round rocks and painting them with home-made, Natural Gold Mica paint, they can be hidden all over the yard. Let the hunt begin!

Supplies:

Step 1: Make Natural Gold Mica Paint

Gold pigment, paint brushes, rock and mixed gold paint

Mix the Natural Gold Mica pigment with the Natural Acrylic Medium in a 1:1 ratio. 

Step 2: Paint Your Rocks
